Shakespeare wrote in 1596 that, "The better part of valour is discretion; in the which better part I have saved my life."
This means that it is often wiser to avoid a confrontation and unnecessary risks.
It sprang to mind having made the decision to abandon my efforts to display the advertised web page when a link is clicked from an email, in favour of a simpler approach. I have spent long hours trying to write PHP code using CURL, and although I met with some success, I have decided to just display the email marketing page with a display copy of the clicked email AND a few other recent emails.
I think this will add more interest to the click, and other advertisers might value the extra exposure. It will also give me more time to concentrate on other areas.
